Disappointing .....

=( I am so disappointed with my PM test 2 results....

Perhaps after doing well for the first time, i am expecting to see good grades for this one too. Only managed to score a Credit (60%) for this! Nevertheless it is a tough test but i know i can do better if i put in more effort.

I guess i am really giving myself too much stress for this semester. Have no idea why but i really would like to score better grades, perhaps for the past 2 semesters i wasn't working hard enough when i know i am capable of obtaining better results. So gonna test my own limits this time round and see how far can i reach out to. =P

Just completed & submitted my individual assignment on Monday, the last individual project was during my first semester. Honestly, i prefer doing projects in group because more heads more ideas. I spent quite some time getting it done and i am very glad that it is finally over! One more marketing project before i will have my study break after 6th April. After which i have to start chiong-ing for my final exam revision. *Gambatte*

Will be jio-ing for mahjong tonight!! Hopefully my kakis will let me win money!

Win Mahjong = Happy = Reduce Stress = Sleep Better = Better Complexion & health

SO for the benefits of my health and well-being..... Lemme win k?? Muahahaha =)

Sick sick sick....

I really hate this kind of feeling....

I came down with a bad flu, bad sore throat and fever yesterday which is also the faithful day of my PM test. Thankfully, my test is held at 7pm which means i have time to take a rest after popping 2 Panadol Acti-fast in the afternoon! This test is slightly tougher than the first one, so i guess i gotta say bye to my HD this time.

Thought i should unwind & relax a little after working so hard till i fell ill so i decide to join my hubby and friends in town to watch a movie "Coming Soon" after my test. =P
The show is not very scary but somehow whenever that ghost appeared out of nowhere, you will still be scared out of your wits. The plot of this show is not that bad, however i do not like the ending. See it for yourself to understand why! =P

Think i have used up 1 whole box of tissue paper already! =( Flu Flu go away!

A night out @ Dbl O...

Attended Robin's birthday party @ Dbl O on 14th March, the last time i stepped into it was on Weifeng's birthday 2 years ago. =.="

Not much changes to that place except for a newly added smoking room and lesser crowd. Maybe people like me who used to 'frequent' (few times a yr) it have outgrown that place and have moved on to places who welcome senior citizens like us (St James).

We were ushered to our table and served our drinks (A bottle of Bacardi, A bottle of sparkling wine & 2 bottles of Henessy). Robin, Albert, Bao Qiang, Thomas, Kristin & myself helped ourselves to the sparkling wine and Bacardi before the rest arrived. Soon, Weifeng, Pat, TianDe, Shu Yi arrived after watching a soccer match by Man U n Liverpool. Vincent and Yvonne joined shortly too after their meal and as usual Ms Ting Ting is the last to arrive again. =P

When everyone is here, we began our usual silly finger guessing games. I wonder am i really so unlucky or they just love to see me drink. I down 3 glasses of Henessy consecutively loh =.=" but when more people joined in the games i was saved. All drinks were finished pretty fast but gladly no one was drunk. =)

Everyone of us left Dbl O happily at 3am. Been a long time since i had so much fun with this group of buddies. =) Looking forward to more meet up.

All electronics product hates me.....

@#%@! ...........

I guess i really have no luck with electronics product recently or that they really hate me. I purchased a new Acer 1700 desktop to replace my old HP pavilion for my office use and it is giving hell lots of problem. 100 times more than the lao kok kok HP one, i thought i was really capable as i managed to fix and set up the pc on my own. But within 15minutes the problem surfaced, no internet connection could detected.

Naturally i will think it must have got something to do with Singtel so i called em' up and check. After some check over at their side, they still could not detect any problem. Since my sis is able to connect to the internet so it should not be the wireless problem, tried calling Acer but i was put on hold to wait for so long that i actually fell asleep on my desk.. ZZzzz...

Tried calling up Singtel again and this time they divert me to the agent for Mio Box router department. I have to paid $180 + 7% GST to send an engineer to come to my site to check what is wrong.

ME: "What if it has got nothing to do with the wireless network or the router?"

ENGINEER: "I will input a fixed IP address into my pc so it can still be connected. "

1 hour plus later

ENGINEER: "Even after inputting a fixed IP address, your PC still cannot get any connection, so i guess it must be your PC prob. =.="

ME: "Do i have to pay since you cant get it working?"
ENGINEER: "Errrmm... you have to check with our sales dept"

ME: %$#@@!

In the end, i called up ACER and finally someone answered my call and arranged to send someone down the following day.

Finally the bloody PC is working fine after 5 freaking days. Imagine the amount of work i piled up cos of this stupid problem.

NO internet = cannot access systems to do invoicings
NO internet = no network so Xerox people cannot set up my printer via networking = Lots of pending documents to be printed.
NO internet = HELL

SO if you think this is the trouble i got from electronics ............ NO............

I went to the IT show 2009 @ Suntec on Thursday and got myself a Sony Vaio TZ at a good deal.I was so happy and excited and immediately set it up when i reached my office, however halfway through the set up i gotta go for a meeting. That stupid meeting took 2 hours and by the time i returned i assumed that my lappie should be ready to be used le but NO loh. It was still hanging at the set up page, i decided to switch it off as it is almost time to knock off already.

The lappie hang shortly after i set it up, so i thought it must be either i did something wrong while setting up or is due to the improper shut down earlier. I decided to run the recovery using the disc given, however i fail to check carefully. That disc is a recovery disc for Windows XP Professional whereas my default system is the Windows Vista Business. So meaning to say, i actually reformatted my pc and changed it from Vista to XP. It isn't a big problem as i do not really mind using a XP but the problem is..... All the programs and devices are removed from my lappie. ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!

I called up the dealer and they say i got to bring it down to their shop so they will fix it for me, so yeah... i brought it down with Hubby and Hz accompanying me. I was told to wait for at least 2 hours so we went over to collect our free home theatre system when we purchased a TV sometime ago.

The 3 of us then went to Tao's for dinner, as usual.... Good food, good service and a very bloated stomach! =)

2 hours later........

Went back to Funan It Mall to collect my lappie, and was told that the harddisk of that lappie is faulty and they will replaced a new one for me. However they do not have any white Tz at the moment so i gotta go back the next day! WTF !!!!!!! Another problematic lappie... Why am i so suay to be facing so much problem with electronics ?? 2 in 2 weeks ... I swear not to but any more electronics product for the moment until they decide to like me again! $!!$#%$#@

No Life....

I guess i have to admit that i am becoming old already, all i am doing nowadays are work, school and sleep. The rare activities that i am engaged in are mahjong games (significant decreased in the frequency), movies (used to watch em' almost every fortnightly & now?? once in a few months). Don't even have to mention my shopping trips, i haven't had a proper one since dunno when?

School lessons, assignments and tests are taking up a majority part of my life now. One coming right after another, hardly giving me time to take a breather. =( However, i keep reminding myself that it will be over by the end of this year. So work hard now and score well, get a degree and enjoy life then!

One of my sec sch buddy will be celebrating his birthday at Dbl O, a place i have not step in for years! kinda miss those days when we will go there for their cheap alcohol and music. It is so far the only club i know of that sell drinks at such a low price so that we can drink till we knock out. =P

However... this time round i am pretty sure i will not drink as much as last time, probably will be there to reminisce of the good old days my friends and i had years ago and of cause to celebrate my buddy bird-day. =) Lets hope many of em' will turn up and we will have a great night then.

Some random events.....

Bought a new desktop to replace my current one, it is giving me hell lots of problem and i got to wait around 10 minutes for it to fully start up. I can literally take a 10 mins power nap i switch my pc on. =P

Lets hope this new one can guai guai stay with me for another 3 or 4 years and not give me any problems so soon!

Bidding bye bye to my old one tomorrow when my new Acer one arrive. Will be stealing a few machines to move to my new place so that i can sometime work from home. yah la... n also to save money on the Pc, copier machine and fax machine... *grins*

Will need to go hunt for new matteress and bed frame, refrigerator soon...... Lets hope i can find some good deals and not kanna chop unknowingly. =P

That's all for now ba, will update soon if i ever have the time. hehe =)

Meaningful Lesson...

After reading this story which my friend emailed me, i thought i should share it here cos i find it very true & meaningful. Most of us tend to vent our anger on our love ones whenever we are feeling stressed up.

I suddenly remembered how i find my grandma a nag whenever she remind me not to forget my belongings whenever i leave home, remember to do this & that. Sometime when i am busy with work, i would just nod my head and say okok then quickly resume whatever i am doing. Thinking of which made me very guilty now!

○ο。°相遇不是用來生氣的°。ο○

前日往回家的公車上,

一對上班族男女吸引了我的目光,

而他們的一段對話,更讓人難忘。

每天搭乘公車上下班,來回通勤時間約莫近二小時,

有時人少,可坐在位置上欣賞窗外的風景;

Hmmm.... Hope we have all learnt something here... =)

Happy Valentines Day.........

First & foremost.... Let me wish everyone a very Happy Valentines Day!

Surprisingly that i am actually blogging at this time instead of being out celebrating my V.Day. Yup... I am dateless on this V.day as my hubby got to work...... ARGH!!! Thanks to their new working systems i got to spend V.Day alone. I tried not to be bothered and tried to think it is just any other ordinary day but somehow i cant help but felt lonely. Haha... Strange but true! I could actually feel how those single guys or girls felt during this day. Well.... It is gonna be over in few hours time!

Nevertheless, we went for an early celebration last night. I am the one who planned for our V.day as he said that he has been planning for the past 7 yrs so it is time for me to crack my brain. Indeed it is an extremely tough job, i have to search the internet for romantic dining place in Singapore. I have to make sure that the ambience is good, food is delicious and we must not have been to that place either. Initially wanted to try Top of the "M", but read that it was no longer there so in the end i chose to reserve a table at 'The Cliff' at Sentosa Resort & Spa.

When we arrived there, we were welcome by their friendly staff who showed us to our table. That place is almost fully packed so we were unable to get the best table which oversee the sea even though i reserved it a week ago. *Lesson learnt: Book at least 2-4 weeks in advance in future*.

Our server Jaay, showed us the menu and went through the list of items available and recommend on which champagne taste nice. We ordered a bowl of Creamy Sweetcorn soup ($30) for appetizer, Sea bass ($72), Black Cod fish ($56) for our main course, a Chocolate Discovery ($42) for our desert and 2 glasses of champagne ($60). Hubby commented that the food is really very expensive and insisted that he wanna dutch that meal. Since i am supposed to plan this year V.Day means i got to foot the bill, since he had been doing so for the past few years.

We waited for about 40 minutes before our appetizer is served and another half an hour before we get to eat our main course. Practically we got to wait after each dish. Despite the long wait, we still enjoyed the food alot because they are really tasty. Perhaps it is due to the ambience too, it made me feel so relax with the dim lightings and the sound coming from their water features.

The service of their staff is excellent and they would come forward and check on you very often, hoping that you would enjoy the stay at The Cliff. Initially i wanted to book movie tickets for the Show 'Slumdog Millionaire' @ Vivocity, luckily i didnt managed to make that booking because we would have to waste the tickets as our dinner took us 3 hours. =.="

'Chocolate Discovery' - Consist of 6 different kind of Chocolate

Chocolate Moose Cake (5th item from Chocolate Discovery)
(6th item is a Chocolate pudding)

Very Nua.......

Wha..... I just realized my last entry was almost a month ago loh.

School Term Start lo........

Semester 4 started on the 7th January and this semester's time-table sucks to the core. For certain weeks i have 4 lessons and that is a lot for a part-time student. Worst still, i have classes on SAT for the rest of the 4 months. DAMNIT!! So troublesome to have to rush to class from work. =(

AND........ I haven't even stop to breathe and we are bombed with so many assignments!

Well.... As i am typing this now, i have also just completed my first assignment for this semester which is due tomorrow(09/02/2009) *late post*.... Needless to say, i have more assignments and tests coming up too.

Dong Dong Dong Chiang...........

This Chinese New Year is so boring, i simply do not have any mood for it. For the previous years, i would eagerly go shopping for CNY clothes and stuffs at least a month before the actual day. However it is very different for this year, even when you go shopping you hear less Chinese New Year songs being played, lesser decorations, Chinatown was not as crowded as before too. =(

DAY 1 of CNY- Woke up at 9am, prepare and dress up and went up to my parents and 'bai nian', then quickly went over to hubby's place and went to his grandma's place together with his family. This is the first time i visit his grandma during CNY and i got to see all his uncles, aunties and cousins. We then proceed back to his place then back to mine for some steamboat. By the time we reached my place, all my relatives are already there.

I dressed my doggie Bebe in a Chinese Chong Sum & my sister made her carry a golden sachet bag behind her saying that is for her to collect Ang Baos! =P Surprisingly, she really did received ang bao o... Not 1 but many of them, total earnings equals to $152!! o.0'' My dad gave her the biggest ang bao which contained $120 in it. GOSH... she is one lucky dog!

Went over to my grandparents' place to bai nian then followed by mahjong session with family members. After which we proceed to Benny's house a.k.a 'BENTING' for our annual 赌王赛 =P Gambled from 10.30pm till 3am and won $500.... Woohooooooo..........

DAY 2 of CNY- Went over to my grandma's place again as more relatives will be there, had my lunch and mahjong sessions again. Won $400 from my uncles and aunties from MJ but very very soon lose $250 to my lil cousins when playing pokers cards. =.='' they sure know how to collect allowances from me!

Went over to Vincent's place to gamble and lost $71 at the end of the day, the guys there are all risk takings and dare devils. They would placed bets of $200 each *sweats*

DAY 3 of CNY- Many of them got to return to work but they are still so onz when it comes to gambling. Everyone proceed back to Vincent's place after work and gambling starts at 11pm, within 1 hour i lose about 1k to both ET and Benny. =( Luckily i managed to recover a lil at the end of the day. *phew*

So total winning or losing for this year= No win No lose......

My luck for this year ain't that great so pray hard for better gambling luck next year! =P

*Valentines' Day coming soon..... So lets wish those who are attached a very happy
情人快乐 !! =)

Nest Building.......

The owner finally agreed to our offer. We are signing the option form real soon and in a few more months time Jr & I will start building our love nest in our 1st dream house. Found a flat very near to my parent place which means additional $40000 grant is given to us. However we would have to spent quite a sum on the renovation and furnishing, we need to re do the living rooms, kitchen and wardrobes for the bedrooms.

Went to IMM last night to check out the prices of those appliances and furniture, we both took a liking to this LG refrigerator which is red in colour with swaroski cystals on the panel and handles. It is so damn chio loh, but is definitely out because i am not gonna spend $4200 on a fridge. =.=" We briefly walked through Best Denki and realized we have got to buy so many appliances loh. Eg. Fridge, Washing machine (sponsored by Mum-in-law & bro), Rice cooker, flask, iron, Tv, sound systems and many many more... (all these gonna cost us alot man... $$$$$$) Lets hope the kind souls from our respective family will contribute a little. Hehehe Thanks in advance!!

The anxious us actually paid a deposit to buy a 'package' at $3588 for a set of Sofa, Coffee table, Tv Console, Dinning Tables & Chairs. We can choose from any which is available in the store or catalogue. We thought it is a great offer as the Sofa alone cost $2000 and dinning table is another $1500 so the rest are considered free ?? =)

We are pretty excited about our love nest and wanna make it a very beautiful and cosy one. My sister will put her interior design skills to practice as i will be entrusting her with this 'big task'.

EXCITED!!!!!!
