First & foremost.... Let me wish everyone a very Happy Valentines Day!
Surprisingly that i am actually blogging at this time instead of being out celebrating my V.Day. Yup... I am dateless on this V.day as my hubby got to work...... ARGH!!! Thanks to their new working systems i got to spend V.Day alone. I tried not to be bothered and tried to think it is just any other ordinary day but somehow i cant help but felt lonely. Haha... Strange but true! I could actually feel how those single guys or girls felt during this day. Well.... It is gonna be over in few hours time!
Nevertheless, we went for an early celebration last night. I am the one who planned for our V.day as he said that he has been planning for the past 7 yrs so it is time for me to crack my brain. Indeed it is an extremely tough job, i have to search the internet for romantic dining place in Singapore. I have to make sure that the ambience is good, food is delicious and we must not have been to that place either. Initially wanted to try Top of the "M", but read that it was no longer there so in the end i chose to reserve a table at 'The Cliff' at Sentosa Resort & Spa.
When we arrived there, we were welcome by their friendly staff who showed us to our table. That place is almost fully packed so we were unable to get the best table which oversee the sea even though i reserved it a week ago. *Lesson learnt: Book at least 2-4 weeks in advance in future*.

Our server Jaay, showed us the menu and went through the list of items available and recommend on which champagne taste nice. We ordered a bowl of Creamy Sweetcorn soup ($30) for appetizer, Sea bass ($72), Black Cod fish ($56) for our main course, a Chocolate Discovery ($42) for our desert and 2 glasses of champagne ($60). Hubby commented that the food is really very expensive and insisted that he wanna dutch that meal. Since i am supposed to plan this year V.Day means i got to foot the bill, since he had been doing so for the past few years.
We waited for about 40 minutes before our appetizer is served and another half an hour before we get to eat our main course. Practically we got to wait after each dish. Despite the long wait, we still enjoyed the food alot because they are really tasty. Perhaps it is due to the ambience too, it made me feel so relax with the dim lightings and the sound coming from their water features.
The service of their staff is excellent and they would come forward and check on you very often, hoping that you would enjoy the stay at The Cliff. Initially i wanted to book movie tickets for the Show 'Slumdog Millionaire' @ Vivocity, luckily i didnt managed to make that booking because we would have to waste the tickets as our dinner took us 3 hours. =.="
