My poor bebe is diagnosed with Pseudopregnancy aka false pregnancy. I was carrying her one day and was stroking her stomach when i realized something strange. Her breasts and nipples seem swollen and there seems to be some white discharge at the tip of her nipples, i gently squeeze it and some white n milky substances spurt out. =.="
I thought she kanna some breast cancer so i quickly brought her to the vet and she told me that that is milk and not discharge. Apart from producing milk, she will feel moody, loses her appetite and will start building nest and protecting her babies. In this case, where there is no real babies, she will look upon her toys as her babies. LOL
After what the vet told us, what ever happened earlier over the past few days make sense. She refuses to eat and is always moody. Especially on the day of my wedding, we all thought we is terrified by the crowd or i am leaving her behind home alone for the first time.
After my parents and siblings returned home after the wedding dinner, they found the 2 Mickey and Minnie soft toys which is supposed to be on the table on the floor. Bebe is seen hugging the Minnie tightly and the Mickey is found behind the sofa, and when my brother went to pick it up, bebe charged over and even wanted to bite him. They were stunned by her strange behavior and thought she is throwing a tantrum cos we neglected her for the whole day.
The next day when i brought her home, instead of her routine behavior she ran up to the bedroom and into her bed immediately. I followed behind and observed her, she went into her kennel-bed and picked up one of her toy, put it down and used her paw to stroke it and whined at the same time. I was shocked cos this is the first time i saw her behaving like this. I even shout out to my hubby saying Bebe miss her toy so much that she is crying upon seeing it. We even had a good laugh because of her actions.
Everything make sense after the vet explanation, she thought the Mickey, Minnie and the toys at home are her babies. She carry them every where she goes and hug them to sleep. It is really funny to see her acting so motherly lor. On the other hand, she is so poor thing when we gotta milk her so that she would not have swollen breasts. =(
Hope she will get over this phase soon. I want a healthy Bebe....
